27 April 2024 - 18:06

Chelsea will be aiming to return to winning ways when they face Aston Villa on the road in the Premier League.

  • Chelsea duo return to partial team training
  • Chelsea planning to sell Sterling to sign Crystal Palace star?

  • The Blues suffered an embarrassing 5-0 loss to Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium and will be keen to make amends.

    Predicted Line-up:

Djordje Petrovic had a tough outing against the Gunners, but he made some crucial saves to avoid further embarrassment. He is expected to continue between the sticks.

In front of him, there could be two changes to the backline Alfie Gilchrist and Benoit Badiashile making way. Axel Disasi should start at right-back with Marc Cucurella on the opposite end.

Thiago Silva and Trevoh Chalobah are expected to come into the heart of the defence, having been late substitutes in the London derby in midweek.

With Enzo Fernandez undergoing a surgery, Conor Gallagher is expected to drop into the central midfield alongside Moises Caicedo tonight.

Further forward, Cole Palmer is primed to start in the number 10 role with Noni Madueke and Mykhailo Mudryk in the wide attacking positions.

Nicolas Jackson will lead the attack once more despite misfiring with his chances. He needs to prove a point to the manager before the season ends.

Predicted Chelsea line-up (4-2-3-1): Petrovic; Disasi, Chalobah, Thiago Silva, Cucurella; Caicedo, Gallagher; Madueke, Palmer, Mudryk; Jackson.
