Tottenham scouting Sebastian Cristoforo
Tottenham's director of football Franco Baldini has been watching the FIFA under 20 World Cup and one of the players that most impressed Baldini is Penarol's midfielder Sebastian Cristoforo.
Cristoforo is a very versatile young player, comfortable playing either as a defensive midfielder or attacking midfielder. He has been with Uruguayan side Penarol since 2011 and has forced his way into the club's first team plans on a regular basis.
Uruguay finished in second place in the tournament, one of the highlights being Cristoforo's stunning performance in holding midfield against eventual winners France.
The 19-year-old currently has two years remaining on his Penarol deal and Tottenham will make their first enquiry next week.
