Philippe Coutinho open to Barcelona switch

Liverpool playmaker Philippe Coutinho will reportedly consider a January move to Spanish champions Barcelona.

The Brazilian international has been the Reds' key player ever since the departure of Luis Suarez to the Catalan giants.

Catalan publication Sport now cites that the 23-year-old may take a similar route to Suarez and make a switch to Camp Nou in the New Year.

It is added that the player will reveal his interest in the coming months, having seen the Merseyside outfit make yet another slow start to their league campaign.

Liverpool are currently placed 10th in the league standings with just 12 points.
