Mauricio Pochettino explains why Moises Caicedo was absent vs Wolves
Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino has revealed that Moises Caicedo was absent for the Premier League clash against Wolverhampton Wanderers due to a high fever.
The Blues have been hampered by several setbacks this season and they were without Enzo Fernandez and Caicedo against Wolves. Enzo was ruled out due to a hernia while Caicedo fell ill before the game.
When asked about the absence of the latter at the Molineux Stadium, Pochettino said: "Moises Caicedo has a high fever so he is not involved today."
The Blues created several quality chances against Wolves earlier today but lacked the cutting edge. They ended up suffering another disappointing 2-1 loss on the road.
With the defeat, the club remain 10th in the standings with 22 points, but they are just goal difference behind Wolves and Bournemouth behind them.
Meanwhile, Fulham and Brentford are one and three points behind respectively and the Blues face real danger of dropping into the bottom half.
