Chelsea set to miss out on Victor Osimhen

Chelsea are set to miss out on the signature of Victor Osimhen to Paris Saint-Germain, according to Il Mattino.

The west London giants have been poor up front this season with Nicolas Jackson missing several clear-cut chances.

They are expected to pursue a marquee striker this summer, but it appears unlikely that they will sign Osimhen.

The Nigerian revealed his dream of moving to the Premier League earlier this term, but he is prepared to move elsewhere.

The striker wants to play in the Champions League or Europa League. Chelsea may not qualify for either next term.

On top of this, the Blues are not in a position to trigger his €120 million release clause when the transfer window reopens.

Osimhen is now ready to choose another European giant and Les Parisiens are currently in pole position for his services.

Les Parisiens have already agreed personal terms with the player through his agent and will discuss his transfer soon.
