Man Utd will submit formal offer for Uruguayan star if this happens

Manchester United will submit a formal offer to sign Barcelona defender Ronald Araujo if he opens the door for an exit.

The Uruguayan was tipped to move to Old Trafford in the summer of 2022, but he ended up signing a new long-term contract.

He has continued to be linked with the Red Devils and reports claim that United are already in contact with his entourage.

Araujo is currently unclear over his future and wants to get more clarity before his participation in the Copa America this summer.

If the centre-back is willing to leave the Blaugrana, United will then proceed to make a formal proposal to the Catalan giants.

Barcelona are said to value Araujo at around €100m, but it is unlikely that the Red Devils will make such a huge outlay for him.

A fee of around €60-65m could be offered by the Red Devils, who have financial issues to deal with after missing out on the Champions League.
