Key duo set to miss Bremen clash
If opponents could pick two players they would want out of this current Spurs side it would be Rafael Van Der Vaart and Gareth Bale.
The duo have been in the form of their careers this season as Spurs have made progress both domestically and in Europe.
However, both could now miss the London club's Champions League clash with Werder Bremen at White Hart Lane.
Spurs can guarantee qualification to the next round with victory in over the Bundesliga outfit or by winning their final group game at Dutch side FC Twente.
To be in such a position is credit to Redknapp and his players for taking to the Champions League like a duck to water.
Last time out they were magnificent in beating current European Champions Inter Milan 3-1 at the Lane, a result that really confirmed their arrival on Europe's biggest stage and anyone who has bet on Champions League games would have been impressed by the result.
Redknapp knows though that arguably the tougher challenge is following that result up.
They have won all of their Champions League home games so far though and play a Bremen side who have conceded ten goals in their last two away games and lost five of their last six matches in all competitions, so they don't look a fantastic Champions League bet.
After their historic North London derby win, Spurs will be full of confidence and even without Van Der Vaart and Bale they have enough quality to see off the German opponents and secure a place in the knock out stages with a game to spare.
