Arsenal in talks for Moussa Sissoko
Arsenal are believed to be in advanced stages of discussions with Toulouse regarding a transfer for 21 year old France international midfielder Moussa Sissoko.
Sissoko, who joined Toulouse in 2007, has been an almost ever present since making his debut. Impressive performances and the France national team rewarded him with his first cap; he now has 3.
Sissoko has been linked with a Premiership move for over 2 years, with names such as Bolton, Tottenham, Liverpool and Man Utd all linked with the player. However, we understand that Arsenal have already agreed a fee with Toulouse - reported to be in the region of £5.5 million - and will open talks with the player on Monday.
Sissoko has always hinted that he would like a move to the Premiership, in February of this year he was quoted as saying: "I would be delighted if one day I am lucky to join a big English club."
Yesterday, the agent of the player admitted discussions were ongoing, but did not mention Arsenal at the request of the club: "The link with Lyon is serious, but it is not the only one.
"There are also negotiations with Liverpool, Newcastle and Inter. Things should seriously move next week."
