Michy Batshuayi decides on his Chelsea future
Belgium international Michy Batshuayi has decided to remain with Chelsea until January before deciding whether to pursue a fresh challenge.
The striker has played no part for the Blues in the opening three games of the new campaign with Olivier Giroud and Tammy Abraham picked in the matchday squad ahead of him.
According to Evening Standard, Batshuayi has declined the option to part ways with the Blues this summer and he is prepared to fight for his future under manager Frank Lampard.
The former Marseille man was a regular under the new Blues boss during pre-season but that has not been sufficient to convince the manager that he can make the difference upfront.
Batshuayi recently participated for the Chelsea developmental squad against Liverpool Under 23s where he scored a brace in a 3-0 triumph, and that could aide his comeback, considering Lampard watched him from the stands.
Chelsea are currently lying 15th in the league standings after accumulating one point from their opening two games. They are scheduled to face Norwich City at Carrow Road on Saturday.
