Jose Mourinho planning transfer raid on Manchester United
Tottenham Hotspur manager Jose Mourinho is reportedly prepared to raid his former club Manchester United to pursue the signature of Nemanja Matic.
The Serbian has fallen out-of-favour under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer this term and he has managed just three appearances in the Premier League to date.
Moreover, he has been sidelined with an unmentioned injury in the past couple of months and reports have emerged that he may have played his final game for the Red Devils.
According to Metro, Mourinho is looking at the possibility of a reunion with Matic at Spurs and the north London side are likely to make a bid of around £15m for his services.
Matic's current deal is due to expire at the end of the campaign but the Red Devils will be able to preserve his transfer value, given they have a 12-month extension clause which can be triggered.
Fred and Andreas Pereira have been United's regular pairing in the midfield in recent weeks with Scott McTominay struggling with an ankle problem picked up on international duty.
