Manchester United to offer Nemanja Matic in deal for Tottenham star?
Manchester United could reportedly use Nemanja Matic as part of the proposal to sign Tottenham Hotspur attacker Christian Eriksen.
The Red Devils are believed to be keen on making a mid-season swoop for the Denmark international, whose contract with Spurs is due to expire at the end of the season.
According to The Athletic, the Red Devils will seek to lower Spurs' valuation for Eriksen next month and they are prepared to offer Matic as a makeweight.
Matic has been on the sidelines with an unspecified injury over the past few months and reports have indicated that he may have played his final game for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side.
The former Chelsea man has made just three appearances for United in the Premier League this term and he currently finds himself behind the likes of Fred, Scott McTominay and Andreas Pereira in the selection order.
Matic has not featured for the Red Devils since the 0-0 draw at AZ Alkmaar in early October.
