Tottenham Hotspur want Brazilian as Harry Kane replacement?
Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly looking to swoop for the services of Gabriel Barbosa from Inter Milan as they seek to find a replacement for the injured Harry Kane.
Barbosa has spent the past year on loan with Flamengo and he was hugely successful as he contributed 25 goals and 14 assists en route to their league and Copa Libertadores double.
According to Tuttosport, Spurs have earmarked Barbosa as the leading option to strengthen the centre-forward department which has been hampered by the injury setback for Kane.
Kane has been the undisputed leader of the attack for the north London giants but he won't be available until the beginning of April after undergoing an operation for a hamstring injury.
Spurs are likely to face direct competition from Barcelona for the former Santos graduate. The Catalan giants are without Luis Suarez for the next four months following his ankle surgery and they are likely to propose to sign Barbosa on a loan deal with the option to buy next summer.
