Arsenal could sign Spanish midfielder for £18m
Arsenal will have the chance to sign Spanish midfielder Marc Roca on a cut-price deal following Espanyol's relegation from La Liga.
The Gunners had initiated talks to sign the midfielder back in February, but the discussions reached a standstill due to the coronavirus outbreak.
Still, they have continued to be linked with the Spaniard and Sport claims that the club are likely to revisit their interest in the coming weeks.
The 23-year-old currently has a £35m release clause on his contract, but it is reported that he could be available for just £18m after Espanyol's relegation.
Napoli have also been credited with an interest in the left-footed midfielder and it remains to be seen whether the Gunners will make a formal approach.
Roca is a defensive midfielder by trade and he has impressed with his ball blocking and passing abilities in the Spanish top-flight this term.
He has spent his entire career at Espanyol and has made 101 league appearances.
