Arsenal planning surprise move for Spanish goalkeeper
Arsenal are reportedly planning a surprise move to sign Spanish goalkeeper Alvaro Valles from Las Palmas.
The Gunners currently have David Raya as the first-choice shot-stopper with Aaron Ramsdale being the back-up.
Ramsdale has made only six appearances over the past six-and-a-half months and he is likely to leave at the end of the season.
This could pave the way for a new shot-stopper and Relevo claim that Valles is the number one target for Arsenal.
The 26-year-old is one of the best ball-playing goalkeepers in La Liga and he has kept Las Palmas in European contention.
The Spaniard has managed seven clean sheets in La Liga this term while completing 39 passes per league appearance.
He has also been brilliant in coming off his line to make high claims. He could be an upgrade on Ramsdale next term.
Valles is likely to cost more than €20m. The fee could easily be recouped with the sale of Ramsdale during the summer.
